Privacy Policy

This page explains what information Aloe Team collects when you visit aloeteam.com, how it is used, who it may be shared with, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain language and kept it as short as we honestly can.

Who we are

"Aloe Team," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the Aloe Team brand operating the website at aloeteam.com. If you have a question about this policy or about the information we hold, email hello@aloeteam.com.

What information we collect

Information you give us directly

When you email us — for example, with a question, a batch certificate request, or a partnership inquiry — we receive whatever you choose to share: your name, your email address, and the contents of your message. If you later place an order with us once the shop launches, we will collect the information needed to process and ship that order.

Information collected automatically

When you load a page on aloeteam.com, our hosting provider and analytics tools log standard technical information that any web server records:

  • The IP address your request came from.
  • Browser type and version, device type, operating system, and screen size.
  • The page you requested, the page you came from, and the time of the request.
  • Approximate location, derived from the IP address (typically country and region — not a precise address).

This is the information modern web analytics depends on. We do not try to identify you personally from it.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar identifiers. The cookies set by the site itself are strictly limited to what is needed to make the site work properly. Third-party services (analytics and advertising) may set their own cookies; those are described below. For a fuller breakdown, see our Cookie Policy.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your email and follow up on the conversation.
  • To process orders, send order updates, and provide customer support once the shop is live.
  • To understand how visitors use the site (which pages are read, where people drop off, what is broken) so we can improve the content.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations where they apply.

We do not sell your personal information.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to measure traffic in aggregate. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and reports back metrics such as page views, sessions, time on page, and approximate geography. The data is processed by Google as a service provider on our behalf. You can read about Google's practices at policies.google.com/privacy and opt out of Google Analytics tracking site-wide via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display ads on this website. As an AdSense publisher, the following disclosures apply:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • Alternatively, users can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info or, in Europe, YourOnlineChoices.

For an overview of how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Third-party services we rely on

Running a modern website involves a small number of trusted vendors. The categories we use:

  • Hosting: our hosting provider stores the website files and serves them to your browser. Standard server logs apply.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, as described above.
  • Advertising: Google AdSense and its partner network, as described above.
  • Email: when you write to us, the email reaches us through our standard email provider.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We pick providers that publish theirs clearly.

How long we keep information

Email correspondence is kept as long as it is useful to follow up on the conversation, after which it is deleted on a routine schedule. Order records are kept as long as required by tax and consumer-protection law in the relevant jurisdiction. Analytics data is retained according to the default settings of the analytics tool, which can be reduced on request.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete information ("right to erasure"), within the limits the law allows.
  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
  • Receive a copy of the data you provided in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.

If you are in California (CCPA / CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information in the everyday sense; if you wish to limit the sharing of advertising identifiers, use the Google Ads and AdChoices opt-outs linked above.

How to exercise any of these rights

Email hello@aloeteam.com with a short note describing what you want. We may need to verify that the request is coming from you. We aim to respond within the timeframes the relevant law sets.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions that set a higher age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, email hello@aloeteam.com and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including transport encryption (HTTPS) and limiting internal access. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your data has been exposed, please contact us so we can investigate.

International transfers

The vendors we use, including Google, may process data in the United States and other countries. Where this involves transferring personal data out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on the protections those vendors have in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms).

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy in a way that materially changes how we handle your information, we will revise the "Last reviewed" date at the top and, where appropriate, post a notice on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Contact

For anything privacy-related: hello@aloeteam.com. Governing law for this policy is the law of [Jurisdiction]; this will be replaced with our incorporating jurisdiction once it is finalised.
